New Delhi: The men in uniform beat up the relatives of those killed in Nithari, made merry on main accused Moninder Singh Pandher’s money and stayed in touch with the high and mighty of UP politics, reveals a Tehelka magazine sting operation.
The investigation team also managed to track down Nandlal. Nandlal says that the police tried to hush up the case even after they were forced to register an FIR in October at the direction of the court.
He told the investigating team that his son, daughter-in-law Priya and he himself were picked and taken to the Sector-20 police station. In the presence of main accused Pandher and Koli, Priya was beaten up.
‘‘I tried to explain the entire case to Dinesh Yadav.
“He said it was all a lie that Payal was blackmailing him (Pandher) for money. Dinesh Yadav, Pandey and Kaur slapped Priya. They told us we were all trying to defame a respectable man,’’ said Nandlal.
Nandlal further reveals that after the police station ordeal was over, the cops asked Koli to cook them a meal. The cops and Pandher went together to D-5, Sector-31, where the main accused lived, said Nandlal.
